College Basketball Wednesday Best Value on DraftKings

The ten DraftKings players our projections rate best for their salary on Wednesday, November 4, rebuilt with every published exhibition box score for the 5-game slate. Graded after the games.

DraftKings’ Wednesday, November 4 CBB main slate has 5 games, starting with Fairleigh Dickinson at Butler at 7:00 PM ET. Our ten value leans are below, with current minutes behind the projections and a few changes the earlier list missed. Use the list before first tip to check salary options for your lineups.

How we found them

Our eligible pool has 63 players, with a median value of 3.07 DK points per $1,000. We rank projected DK points times chance to play, per $1,000 of salary, requiring at least an 80% chance to play, 15+ projected minutes and one clean name match. All ten picks clear that median. Check each player’s minutes and chance to play alongside the value number.

Our top 10 allows at most two players from any one game. That limit left off higher-rated options including Mathieu Grujicic of Radford at $3,000 with a 4.13 value, Zion Walker of Radford at $3,000 with a 3.96 value, and Darius Bivins of Saint Mary’s at $3,000 with a 3.88 value. What changed today

We added 4 exhibition games with official school box scores after checking every team on tonight’s slate. For teams yet to play a regular-season game, those exhibition minutes inform our minutes projections. That check removed Kolby King of Auburn: he missed Auburn’s first two exhibitions and played under 5 minutes against Samford. Check the current minutes evidence before using a cheap player’s projection.

Monday’s minutes now count in the projection, blended with last season’s minutes one game against one. Previously, Monday’s game changed only a player’s chance to play for teams with one game played. Mantas Juzenas is the clearest example: he played 38 minutes Monday and 29 in the exhibition, but our projection still sat at 5.8 minutes from last season; it now sits at 21.9. The earlier version of this list missed this, so use the updated minutes below.

Juzenas, Rob Diaz III, Travis Torain and Samis Calderon joined the list after Monday’s minutes were included. Melvin Bell Jr. and Karl Poom of North Dakota State, Pavle Stosic of Fairleigh Dickinson and Jordan Ellerbee of Butler dropped out. If you used the earlier list, revisit those lineup spots.

Build lineups around these players

Ja'Corey Robinson, Radford, G, $3,100: Robinson leads our list with 22.9 projected DK points and a 7.09 value. His 26.0 projected minutes sit close to the 27 he played Monday, with a 96% chance to play. We lean toward using him as a salary option at Cal at 9:00 PM ET. Check his availability before putting him into a lineup.

Jordan Frison, Wichita State, G, $3,800: Frison projects for 22.4 DK points in 24.1 minutes, with a 98% chance to play and a 5.74 value. Wichita State opens its season tonight, so his 23 minutes in the Murray State exhibition are the current minutes evidence. We like the salary against that projected workload, with the uncertainty of a season opener still attached. Check his role before the 7:30 PM ET game against Cal State Northridge.

Jake Wilkins, Cal, F, $3,000: Wilkins carries a 5.11 value on 16.2 projected DK points, with a 95% chance to play. His 17.6 projected minutes are supported by the 19 he played Monday. We lean toward him at this salary, while keeping that minutes projection in view. Check his status before Cal hosts Radford at 9:00 PM ET.

Rob Diaz III, North Dakota State, G, $4,500: Diaz projects for 20.3 DK points in 23.3 minutes, producing a 4.33 value with a 96% chance to play. He played 26 minutes Monday and 26 in the MSU Moorhead exhibition, giving us current workload evidence from both games. We lean toward him with that minutes support behind the projection. Check his availability before the 10:00 PM ET game at Saint Mary’s.

Mantas Juzenas, Saint Mary's, G/F, $4,100: Juzenas played 38 minutes and scored 20 points Monday after logging 29 minutes in the exhibition. Our updated projection is 21.9 minutes and 17.4 DK points, with a 96% chance to play and a 4.08 value. Last season’s role was under 6 minutes, so the projection still sits between his old role and the current workload. Compare that 21.9-minute expectation with Monday’s 38 before using him against North Dakota State at 10:00 PM ET.

How these picks did

Graded after the games, hits and misses both shown. Check back after the final box scores are in.

We opened with 4 of 5 hits, followed by 9 of 10 on Tuesday. A hit means beating the median value of the other eligible players; tonight’s picks will be graded tomorrow morning from box scores. That record covers two nights, a small sample that gives us context without settling how these picks will hold up. Check back tomorrow morning for tonight’s grades.
